General Hydroponics FloraBloom® Flowering & Fruiting Base Nutrient

FloraBloom® supplies the minerals plants use in the reproductive stage—the period when energy shifts to flowering, fruiting, and seed production. Within the FloraSeries® system, increasing Bloom and adjusting Gro/Micro per the feed chart helps direct nutrition toward bud/fruit sites while maintaining overall balance, so the plant can stay on schedule through the bloom window.

FloraBloom® supplies phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and sulfur to support flower and fruit development. It also helps provide nutrients associated with essential oil and fragrance production.

Use FloraBloom® with FloraMicro® and FloraGro® according to GH feed charts. Always add FloraMicro® to fresh water first, then mix in the other parts; never combine concentrates undiluted.

As plants move into bloom, their nutritional priorities change. FloraBloom® helps shift the program toward reproductive growth while preserving the flexibility of the FloraSeries® system.

Product Role

FloraBloom — What It Does

FloraBloom is a true base nutrient and one of the three core parts of the FloraSeries® system, used with FloraGro and FloraMicro. It is the bloom-stage component that supplies the essential minerals plants need during the reproductive stage—flowering, fruiting, and seed production. It delivers high levels of phosphorus (P), potassium (K), magnesium, and sulfur to help enhance fruit and flower development, support essential oil production, and ensure overall balance during the bloom window. The three-part flexibility allows users to tailor the nutrition mix by growth stage.

Usage Guide

FloraBloom — How to Use

How do I mix FloraBloom with the other FloraSeries parts?
Always add FloraMicro to fresh water first and mix well, then add FloraGro and FloraBloom in sequence. Never combine FloraMicro with FloraGro or FloraBloom in undiluted form. After all three are added and mixed, check and adjust pH and EC before feeding.

Can I adjust the ratio of FloraBloom to “steer” the crop?
Yes. One of the strengths of FloraSeries is that by adjusting the ratios of FloraGro, FloraMicro and FloraBloom, you can tailor nutrition to growth stage and plant needs. In general, FloraBloom increases relative to FloraGro as you move from vegetative growth into flowering and fruiting, following the guidance in the FloraSeries feed charts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does FloraBloom® do in the feeding program, and what are its key flowering benefits?

FloraBloom® (0-5-4) supplies phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and sulfur to support flowering, fruit set, seed production, and the formation of oils and aromatic compounds. FloraGro is generally tapered as flowering progresses so FloraBloom can take a larger role in reproductive development.

What are the storage guidelines, shelf life, and warranty parameters for FloraBloom®?

Keep FloraBloom® stored sealed in its original container, upright, in a cool, dry space out of direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Unopened bottles have an expected shelf life of approximately 2 years. General Hydroponics warrants the product to conform to label specifications for 1 year from the date of purchase

What is the correct mixing sequence when preparing a reservoir containing FloraBloom®?

Always add FloraMicro® to fresh water first and mix thoroughly. Once the Micro is completely blended, add FloraGro® second, and add FloraBloom® third. Stir thoroughly between additions, and never mix the concentrates together in undiluted forms to prevent chemical fallout.

Can FloraBloom® be used as a standalone bloom feed or booster?

No, FloraBloom® is a core base nutrient part, not a standalone additive or booster. Because it contains 0% Nitrogen, running it as a standalone feed would result in severe nitrogen starvation. It must be run in combination with FloraMicro® and FloraGro® to deliver a complete, crop-safe feeding program.

When should FloraBloom® be introduced, and how do its ratios evolve through the harvest cycle?

FloraBloom® is introduced at light rates during early vegetative growth to maintain elemental balance. As plants transition to bloom, the rate is graduated upward while FloraGro® is reduced, reaching its maximum concentration during the mid- to-late flowering phase.

How does FloraBloom® support the production of essential oils, terpenes, and fragrances?

FloraBloom® delivers the high levels of phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and sulfur that plants use to synthesize secondary metabolites. These elements feed the biosynthetic pathways responsible for trichome development, essential oil accumulation, and complex, variety-specific terpenes.

What secondary elements are built into FloraBloom® and why are they critical for flower development?

FloraBloom® is forti fied with 1.5% Magnesium and 1.0% Sulfur. These secondary elements are essential co-factors that support the plant's metabolic machinery during high-intensity bloom cycles, helping the canopy utilize heavy light levels and process other key primary nutrients efficiently.

What is the guaranteed N-P-K analysis of FloraBloom® and what is its primary target?

FloraBloom® is formulated with a guaranteed N-P-K of 0-5-4. Its primary target is the reproductive growth stage, supplying the targeted mineral profile needed to drive abundant flowering, fruit set, bud swelling, and seed production.
