pH Test Kit

General Hydroponics pH Test Kits make pH testing easy. Simply fill a test-tube halfway with nutrient, add a few drops of pH Test Indicator and observe the coloration of the liquid in the test vial. Many experienced growers prefer our pH Test Kit to expensive electronic meters because of its reliability and ease of use, which are important factors when the health of a valuable crop is at stake. Use 3 drops per 5ml of solution.

The pH Test Indicator uses a highly sensitive, concentrated liquid solution that instantly changes color based on the acidity or alkalinity of your water. It provides an immediate, visual readout of your nutrient solution's pH, helping you easily identify potential nutrient lockout before it affects your crop.

Fill a clean test vial halfway (approximately 5ml) with your fully mixed nutrient solution. Add 3 drops of the pH Test Indicator, gently shake the vial, and observe the coloration of the liquid. Match the resulting color against the standard General Hydroponics® pH color chart to determine your level.

Digital pH pens require constant calibration, expensive storage solutions, and batteries—and they can drift or fail without warning. The pH Test Indicator never requires calibration, never runs out of batteries, and never lies. It gives you an unshakeable, cost-effective benchmark to keep your valuable crop safe and thriving.
